Old Crow Medicine Show (OCMS) pioneered a brave new brand of American roots music, injected with rock’n’roll attitude, that has spawned a whole genre.
The quintet met in New York in 1998, writing material and honing a sound based on their experiences traveling city to city in a van and busking in the streets. Relentless touring, three great albums, and a major cult following led them to Nashville, appearing with Dolly Parton at the Grand Ole Opry, and touring with Merle Haggard.
After an appearance on Later with Jools Holland three years ago, they headlined an unforgettable sold out gig in the Open House Festival Marquee, ensuring a future return to Belfast.
