Soul Shaker are a 5 piece of vastly experienced local players formed solely for this Empire residency, the bands collective CV is a run down of some of Ireland’s most important artists. Expect a rootsy set of funky secular, testifying with material from Aretha Franklin, Stevie wonder, Bobby Womack, Sly Stone, Donny Hathaway, Marvin Gaye, Gill Scott-Heron and much more.

The Empire is a popular live music venue in Belfast's Botanic Avenue. The venue, which was once a church, is now home to a hugely popular comedy night and regular live gigs.
